As the Polish president of the European Commission comes to an end, discover the culture of Europe and its minorities, such as Slavs and Roma, and listen to music from Lithuania performed by Aiste Bruzaite – from music workshops with exceptional artists, through stories about Slavic legends and a ceramics exhibition, to a film and a panel discussion about European identity.

In the afternoon, there will be a screening of the film with subtitles and consecutive interpretation, followed by a panel discussion entitled: “The European Union and the Challenges of Cultural Minorities – the Role of Music and Art in Maintaining Tradition and Building Dialogue.”

The panel will feature:

Prof. Michał Kozłowski – philosopher, sociologist, historian, and journalist, University of Warsaw;

Prof. Christelle Garouste – economist, sustainable development specialist, former dancer at the Opéra Garnier (online);

Rafael Lewandowski – director and screenwriter, recipient of the Polityka Passport Award.

The discussion will focus on topics such as:

How to feel European while maintaining your identity?

What role do minorities play in building community?

Can music and art bridge cultures?

The September edition of the project is tied to the celebration of Europe Day and highlights the rich cultural diversity of the continent. The meeting is open to the public and admission is free.
