Dariush Rasouli was born in Nersu, in northern Iran. His musical journey began in 1991 when he started studying the Ney—the traditional Persian flute—under Master Mehdi Ebrahimi. After graduating from the Music Department of Tehran Art University, he furthered his expertise under the guidance of renowned masters Mohammad Ali Kiyaninejad and Maestro Hasan Kasai, while studying traditional Persian music theory with Master Majid Kiyani.
Since 2004, Rasouli has been based in Warsaw, Poland, where he has established himself as a prominent performer and collaborator. He has performed numerous solo concerts and worked alongside acclaimed musicians such as Bahman Rajabi, Bahram Sarang, and Maria Pomianowska. His artistry also extends to cinema; he has contributed to film scores for Polish composers Michał Lorenc (Szukałem Was, Wino Truskawkowe) and Paweł Mykietyn (Trick).
Rasouli’s performances have graced stages across the globe, including Iran, Japan, and throughout Europe—from the United Kingdom and Germany to the Baltics and Italy. He has appeared as a soloist with prestigious philharmonic orchestras in Katowice, Kraków (Beethoven Academy Orchestra), Łódź, Vilnius, and Liepāja, among many others.
In 2008, inspired by the polymath Avicenna, Rasouli expanded his practice into Persian herbal medicine. Today, he creates unique holistic experiences that integrate music therapy, herbal healing, and nutrition. By exploring the profound connection between music, herbs, and the human brain, he promotes a lifestyle of harmony and wellness, blending centuries-old Persian wisdom with contemporary holistic practices.
